About the Authors:
Paul Gantt is the
President and founder of Safety Compliance Management, Inc (SCM).
Paul is a retired Fire Chief Officer with over 35 years experience
in the Emergency Response and Safety fields. In addition to the long
list of positions held in the fire service, Paul is a life-time
member and past President of the Northern California Fire Training
Officer's Association.
He is a Certified Safety
Professional, a Registered Environmental Assessor and holds a degree
in Public Administration. Through SCM, Paul develops and delivers
training programs in the area of occupational safety and health. He
also provides consultation services, including Expert Witness work
on regulatory compliance issues.
He is certified by the State of
California Office of the State Fire Marshal, Governor's
Office of Emergency Services, Federal Emergency Management Agency,
California EPA and the University of California to provide a wide
array of training programs in areas including hazardous materials
handling and response, emergency preparedness and response,
occupational health and safety, and regulatory compliance.
Rob Schnepp is a
firefighter/paramedic and hazardous materials specialist in Alameda
County Fire Department. He is also the Vice President of Safety
Compliance Management.
